On Wednesday, two last quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League were played. Two English clubs made it to the semis.
After an away victory over Benfica with the score 3-1, Liverpool drew with their Portuguese opponent at Anfield. Although a few expected the Lisbon team to pass Liverpool, they played a great attacking game and scored three goals, while a few were cancelled due to offside traps. However, the hosts also responded with many moments and scored three.
In another Wednesday game, Atletico Madrid hosted Manchester City. The first game finished with a minimal score of 1:0 in favour of the Citizens. And while the second meeting was tough and with intense football, none of the sides scored a goal, which means that the Sky Blues went to the semifinals.
