Muguruza won the WTA Finals

Garbine Muguruza is the winner of the WTA Final Tournament in Guadalajara. In the final match, the 28-year-old Spaniard defeated Anett Kontaveit. In the second set, Muguruza returned from the 3:5 score, having realized two breaks.

Muguruza became the first Spanish tennis player to win the Final Tournament. In total, Garbinier won the tenth WTA title of her career. At the WTA Finals, Muguruza lost in the opening match to Karolina Pliskova. After that, she defeated Barbora Krejcikova and Anett Kontaveit in the group and Paula Badosa in the semifinals.
